Earth and Light series is another representation of my love of nature and our connection with her. 
So for this piece I'm representing Earth's natural cycles of life, decay, and renewal.
I approach each new piece with quiet reflection and this time I happen to be in my backyard with the crunching of decayed leaves
and twigs beneath
my feet and the warm sun on my face.
I just love using organic matter within my paintings.
I'm always looking for that tactile experience to draw people in for a closer look, so this seemed like a perfect fit.
And along with the shimmering gold embodying the warm sunlight and life and renewal...it all seemed to click!
