14x11 Mixed media on canvas. Framed in white with gold leafed interior sides of floater frame. 
Pieces of Her is a self portrait based on the artists cathartic process of self growth, all the while building up this piece of art with graphite, charcoal, pastel, acrylic, ink, and metallic medium. An encaustic wax "look" was used to provide transparency while adding great depth. This technique can only be fully appreciated in person. Drips and drips are built up with texture upon texture, a "cutting away" of medium to reveal the underpainting. Each part of adding and taking away are like pieces of her being put back together again. 
The artist writes a poem on the back of the canvas of her feeling while painting.
