This painting was inspired by the natural process of transformation, erosion, sediment, mineral deposits, and the subtle ways light changes a landscape throughout the day. Rather than controlling every mark, I allow gravity, fluid paint, and layered materials to collaborate with me. Each layer responds to the one before it, creating a history within the surface that reflects nature’s own slow and beautiful evolution. Built through translucent layers of acrylic, mineral textures, metallic elements, charcoal, and expressive mark-making, this painting captures a quiet sense of movement and light.
